Launchpad C, Lesson 1: Healing Tools

This lesson was lots of fun, and I learned a lot. Lots of questions came up, too.
This first picture is of the waterfall at the Los Angeles Zoo. The second is the Adjusted image. I wanted to change it into a snowscape, but I couldn't figure out how to get the colors to go all white. Still, this looks a bit frostier :)
And then there are the images using the healing tools.
This is my husband, Barry. He stood and watched over my shoulder while I did this, and was it ever annoying! "Can you make me look 20 again? When are you going to take out that wrinkle there?" I finally said that he should be grateful he wasn't 20 again and didn't have to wear all those disco clothes. Then I told him to scram.
I tried all of the tools; I used the Spot Healing Brush tool to remove the small blemish on his chin; then I tried the Healing Brush, but I think it worked better with the Spot Healing Brush. I used the Patch tool to remove some of the wrinkles around his eyes, on his forehead, and on his neck. I tried using the Clone tool to remove the clock, but I couldn't get the shadowing right on the wall, so I left it in. Then Barry came back in. "Honey, when are you going to add more hair?" I used the Clone tool to give him Greg Brady hair and I added a flower behind his ear for color. He was not amused. So I used the Patch tool to slightly lower his hairline. It still doesn't look real, but short of drawing it in follicle by follicle with a brush, I couldn't figure out what else to do. I obviously need more practice with these tools!
